What to know about Metron lifts

Metron is a company from Serres, Greece, which since 1995 has grown from a local manufacturer into an exporter to more than 50 countries. It makes complete lift systems and individual components, including cars, doors and its own controllers. A particular configuration may use a controller from another manufacturer; our quotation states which one.

The range's greatest strength is its series for difficult shafts. LPH works with a pit from 550 mm, SLH with headroom (top floor height) from 2600 mm. This is often exactly what is needed in buildings where the shaft already exists and cannot be rebuilt.

We combine Metron equipment with our own work under the LIFTPORTAL brand: site survey, series selection, delivery, installation by our own crews, commissioning, start-up documentation and ongoing maintenance.

Quick answers

Metron: frequently asked questions

What is the minimum pit depth for Metron lifts?

MRL G LPH: 550 mm for rated loads up to 630 kg and 600 mm for 750-1000 kg. Cantilever MRL L LPH: 550-600 mm (the factory warns that the minimum pit and the minimum height cannot be achieved together, and the 500 mm figure from the catalogue header does not appear in the series tables). Habitat hydraulic home lift: 120-140 mm. Standard machine-room-less series need 1050 mm or more.

Can a Metron lift be installed where there is no shaft?

Yes, within limits: the factory makes a metal shaft for up to 800 kg, up to 5 stops, travel up to 12 m and external dimensions up to 1800×2000 mm, and at least one load-bearing wall is required. Glazing is not included in the factory kit. The shaft is compatible with most MRL traction and hydraulic lifts, except the MRL L LPH, MRL UX SLH and the car lift.

What is the lead time for a Metron lift?

Manufacturing takes 6-8 weeks depending on the type, plus about a week for delivery. The countdown starts once the drawings are approved and the advance payment is made, and we state the exact lead time in the contract.
