What to know about IZAMET lifts

The IZAMET models named in the current Ukrainian certificates list TEMAZI Ltd. as the manufacturer, with production in Dupnitsa, Bulgaria. IZAMET is our main working brand, and the reason is simple: one supplier covers almost the entire range of equipment that comes up on a project. Under the DEC certificate, this means electric lifts up to 3500 kg at 1.0 m/s and up to 2000 kg at 1.6-2.0 m/s, as well as hydraulic lifts up to 6000 kg at 0.16-0.63 m/s. Dumbwaiter and car lift versions are not named there separately; we will show you the document covering them before the contract is signed. There is no need to equip one building from three different suppliers.

For installation, something else matters: the factory's builder's work drawings. Izamet provides ready-made shaft drawings: 320 kg in a 1350×1650 shaft, 400 kg in 1550×1700, 630 kg in 1700×2100. The 1000 kg machine-room-less lifts come in as many as seven shaft variants, and for 1800 kg there is a drawing with a machine room above and a 2500×2710 shaft. For machine-room-less models, separate layouts with side-mounted and rear-mounted drives are also provided.

Both the traction machine drive and the door operator run on VVVF inverters: smooth starts and stops, accurate levelling at the sill, and door panels that do not slam against the frame. Finishes are chosen separately. Classic means skinplate or brushed Inox Satine stainless steel, Lux IS and Lux L sit in the middle, Lux MR comes with mirror-finish coloured stainless steel and an LCD display, and the Nature car is built from wood to an individual drawing.

To be honest about the downsides: service in Ukraine is provided not by the factory but by the contractor, that is, us, so maintenance needs to be settled in the contract rather than after handover. A lift for a non-standard shaft size takes longer to manufacture than a standard one. And Lux MR mirror stainless steel in a social housing block looks worse after a year than cheaper skinplate: scratches show on it from day one. For tight budgets, the factory offers BONUS L packages for 4-8 stops and BONUS H for buildings with up to 25 stops.

Quick answers

IZAMET: frequently asked questions

What does TEMAZI mean in IZAMET lift documents?

It is the manufacturer named in the current Ukrainian certificates for the Genesis, German, IZA and hydraulic IH models: TOV "TEMAZI" in Ukrainian, "TEMAZI" EOOD in Bulgarian, TEMAZI Ltd. in Latin script. Production is at 5 Razmetanitsa St., Dupnitsa, Bulgaria. The lift brand is IZAMET, so both names appear in the lift's paperwork. These certificates do not cover other equipment: before signing the contract, we will show you which document applies to your particular lift.

Where can I verify the certificate for an IZAMET lift?

In the register of the conformity assessment body TESKO LLC at tecko.com.ua. Enter the H1 number in Latin characters: UA.TR.006.H1.109501-25. The register will show the manufacturer, the models, validity until 10 March 2028 and the status "Valid" (Diisnyi). Our Module D certificate, UA.TR.006.D.113601-25, valid until 11 September 2028, can be found the same way: the register entry shows the lift manufacturer, and the installer's name appears on the copy of the certificate. We will send copies on request.

Why do you usually offer Izamet rather than OTIS or KONE?

Technically, an Izamet lift does the same job: a machine-room-less drive and VVVF control. The price difference for the same specification is noticeable, so for the same budget the client gets a better car and control system rather than the basic version of a global brand. If, however, the project requires a service contract with the manufacturer's own local office, that is an argument in favour of the Big Four, and we say so plainly.

Can a machine-room-less Izamet lift replace an old lift in the existing shaft?

Often, yes, but the site survey decides. We check the shaft dimensions, the headroom above the top landing, the pit depth and the condition of the embedded fixings for the guide rails. Izamet offers versions with side-mounted and rear-mounted drives: these are two different ways of fitting the equipment into the shaft. If the pit is shallow or the headroom is too low, we choose a different rated load or go back to a model with a machine room.

How much more does Lux MR cost than Classic, and is it worth paying extra?

The price difference lies in the car finishes, not the mechanics: the traction machine, controller and safety components are the same. In a hotel or business centre, mirror stainless steel and an LCD display are justified because every visitor sees the car. In an ordinary apartment block we recommend Classic: skinplate shows scratches less and is cheaper to restore after vandalism.

What about spare parts in five to ten years?

A lift is made up of components, most of which are industry-standard: the traction machine, controller, door operator, safety gear and overspeed governor. These can be ordered both through the factory and directly from the component manufacturers. We maintain Izamet equipment and buy common wear parts in advance. Car finishes for a specific series take the longest, so it is worth ordering spare non-standard panels from the outset.
