What to know about Fuji Yida lifts

Yida Express Elevator puts the emphasis on the car. The range of finishes is broader than you would expect at this price level: hairline brushed stainless steel, titanium-effect coatings, mirror and etched inserts, and wooden wall panels. A client who arrives with a picture from the internet is more likely to get something close to it than with the budget ranges of European factories.

The EX-V home lifts are a story of their own. This is a compact machine for a private house: an axial fan in the ceiling, PVC flooring, and walls of painted steel or wood depending on the version. The landing door range includes an option with a narrow stainless steel jamb and an extruded aluminium sill, as well as a two-door design that opens on both sides, for when the car is a through-type car serving two sides of the house.

Now for what salespeople rarely mention. A through-type car doubles the set of doors and requires more precise shaft geometry, so cutting corners on measurements shows up immediately. Wood and PVC should not be used in an unheated stairwell or a damp room: within a season the finish will warp. And the pit and headroom requirements do not go away, even if the lift is compact.

We choose Fuji Yida when the look of the car matters to the client but there is no budget for a European brand. In service, it is an ordinary lift with variable-frequency control, nothing exotic. We prepare the registration documents ourselves: the Chinese document set almost always needs to be adapted to Ukrainian requirements, and time for this must be allowed in advance.

Quick answers

Fuji Yida: frequently asked questions

Can a lift like this be fitted into an existing house?

Yes, if there is room for a shaft and the required pit and headroom can be achieved. The harder case is a house that is already roofed with no space set aside for a shaft: then we look at an external add-on shaft or a platform lift. First a site visit and actual measurements, then a discussion about the model, not the other way round.

How much space does the shaft need?

This is worked out from the chosen car and door type. The factory offers several standard sizes, and the task is to pick the one that fits your space with allowance for installation clearances. We do not confirm catalogue dimensions without on-site measurements: discrepancies of a few centimetres between floors are common, especially in older buildings.

In what ways is it worse than a European home lift?

Mainly in documentation and service logistics: a European manufacturer's paperwork meets EU standards from the outset, and a spare part arrives by truck within a week rather than by sea. In terms of mechanics and controls, the difference for domestic use is not that dramatic. The price difference, on the other hand, is noticeable, and that is usually what decides it.

Who will maintain a lift in a private house?

We take on such sites under contract: the Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv regions are our usual territory, and further afield we travel by arrangement. A private lift does fewer trips than one in an apartment block, so the maintenance schedule is simpler. But it should not be left without inspection altogether: the brake and safety gear are checked regardless of how much the lift has been used.
