Our company represents TROMP in Ukraine - a long-standing partnership, not a one-off delivery for a single tender. The production site is in Silivri near Istanbul and covers about 15,000 m². Historically the site specialized in doors and cars: from 1999 this was the business of BİR ASANSÖR, which supplied products to almost twenty countries. Since 2003, after joining forces with TROMP, it has been shipping complete lifts and escalators.
Its roots in door manufacturing are no small matter. Landing and car doors are the most heavily used part of a lift: they account for most entrapments and emergency call-outs. A manufacturer that has long made its own doors usually has fewer problems with adjusting locks, door gibs and the door panel operator.
The other part of the range is escalators. For shopping centres, railway stations and public buildings, the advantage is that lifts and escalators come from a single supplier: one specification, one logistics chain and, later on, one service team. The plant employs more than 150 people, so both product lines run in parallel rather than one after the other.
We will be honest about the limitations: delivery from Turkey goes by sea or by truck across several borders, so the lead time depends on more than just the factory. And when replacing a lift in an old building, the dimensions have to be agreed in advance - Turkish standard sizes do not always match what was built into the shaft forty years ago. We survey before ordering, not after.
For residential buildings, offices, hotels and public buildings.
For warehouses, factories, shopping centres and kitchens.
For hospitals and medical centres: sized for stretchers and intensive care beds.

We have worked with this factory for a long time and represent it in Ukraine, so we know how they handle complaints and how quickly they answer technical queries. That counts for as much as the catalogue specifications. Plus they make their own doors and cars, the components that cause the most trouble on site.
Yes, we supply escalators as separate items. With escalators, the key is to get involved at the construction stage: the angle of inclination, the rise between levels, the truss length and the embedded parts for the support points are all determined in advance. Altering floor openings after concreting is expensive, so we coordinate this part with the designer.
Often it will, but not automatically. Shafts in older standard-design buildings have their own dimensions and pit depth, and the headroom at the top is sometimes reduced. We come out, measure the shaft along its full height, check the pit and floor slabs, and only then select the size. Sometimes the car has to be smaller than in the design, and it is more honest to say so straight away.
We handle maintenance ourselves, from our office in Ivano-Frankivsk and our branch in Lviv, and we also travel to remote sites. The cost depends on the number of lifts, the number of floors, the controller type and whether remote monitoring is in place, so there is no universal figure. The contract sets out the inspection intervals and the response time for passenger entrapments.
What determines the choice of lift: building type, number of floors, rated load, drive type and whether there is a machine room. Practical guidelines and common mistakes.
